Andrew Lee Obituary, DRAYTON, N.D. — Andrew Lee, 27, of Walhalla, North Dakota, died Friday afternoon, August 21, 2026, after the SUV he was driving crashed and overturned on a rural road near Drayton in Pembina County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 12:20 p.m. on Pembina County Road 3, north of Drayton. Lee was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse westbound when the vehicle crossed the eastbound lane and left the roadway, agencies said.
Per to investigators, the SUV overcorrected after leaving the roadway, causing it to rotate and travel back across the road. The Chevrolet Traverse then struck a roadway approach before overturning.
Lee was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He suffered fatal injuries in the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances that caused the vehicle to leave the roadway remain under investigation. Agencies have not released additional information about what may have led to the crash.
