Andrew Lee Obituary, DRAYTON, N.D. — Andrew Lee, 27, of Walhalla, North Dakota, died Friday, Aug. 21, following a single-vehicle rollover crash north of Drayton, based on to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened shortly after 12:20 p.m. on Pembina County Road 3. According to the Highway Patrol, Lee was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse westbound when the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and left the roadway.
The vehicle then overcorrected and rotated before crossing back over the roadway. It subsequently struck a roadway approach and overturned, based on to information released by the Highway Patrol.
Lee was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, law enforcement noted. He died at the scene.
The fatal crash occurred north of Drayton in northeast North Dakota, and emergency personnel responded following the incident. The North Dakota Highway Patrol later released Lee’s name as authorities continued their investigation.
The Highway Patrol has not released additional details about Lee’s personal life, career, family, or other aspects of his background beyond his identification as a 27-year-old resident of Walhalla.
The circumstances surrounding the rollover remain under probe. Law enforcement have not indicated that a cause or contributing factors beyond the circumstances described in the crash report have been established.
