Clint Lee Parrish Jr. Obituary, MACON, Ga. — Clint Lee Parrish Jr., 30, was killed early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Forsyth Road near Ashton Hall in Macon.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reported emergency dispatchers received a call at approximately 5:54 a.m. Saturday reporting that a person was lying in the roadway in the 6200 block of Forsyth Road. Deputies responded to the location and found Parrish unresponsive in the roadway.
Parrish was identified as the pedestrian involved in the crash. Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley responded to the scene and pronounced him dead. According to Coroner Leon Jones, Parrish’s next of kin has been notified.
Investigators determined that Parrish had been struck by a vehicle. The driver involved in the collision reportedly left the scene without reporting the crash or remaining to assist, prompting authorities to investigate the situation as a fatal hit-and-run.
Details about the vehicle involved have not been released. Investigators have also not disclosed the direction the vehicle traveled after leaving the scene or other circumstances surrounding the collision as the probe remains active.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its fatal traffic investigation as authorities work to establish what happened and identify the driver involved. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the crash.
